Royal Armouries MS I.33: A Tactical Primer on Sword and Buckler

Royal Royal Armouries Manuscript I.33 is a brilliant series of lesson plans that build sensible tactical approaches to sword and buckler combat. The manuscript is organized into logical instructional units that are related to one another in explicit and implicit terms and develop in the student an ability to analyze tactical situations and select appropriate actions. We will use this structure to build technical exercises and tactical exercises that teach the student to observe his opponent's behaviour and choices, and derive an immediate tactical plan, and execute that plan.

This class is an excellent complement to Bolognese Swordsmanship of the Single-hand Sword.
